PRJ makes tunnels

Prj Elektro AS have got an new contract with Kvinnherad Elektro AS. The contract is for mounting of 11km cable trays og mounting of lightning in Jondals tunnel, Torsnes tunnel and Bergfjells tunnel. Total length 11km. The project will start in first week january 2012 and will be finish June 2012

Jondal tunnel is a tunnel under construction. The tunnel will connect the municipalities in and around Folgefonn peninsula together and go from North Pollen, Mauranger in Kvinnherad to Torsnes in Jondal. The tunnel is scheduled for completion in 2013 and is estimated to cost 886 million.

Torsnes tunnel is a tunnel under construction. The tunnel, together with Jondal tunnel linking the municipalities in and around Folgefonn peninsula together and go from North Pollen, Mauranger in Kvinnherad to Torsnes in Jondal. The tunnel had an impact 25 January 2011 [2] and is scheduled for completion in 2013.

Upgrading of road / tunnel Austrepollen-North Pollen and approx. 500 meters new road North Pool. It will be built a 30 meter long rock fall securing in concrete on the south side of Bergfjell Tunnel. The tunnel will be upgraded with safety equipment and signal regulated as one lane. Parts of the stretch on both sides of Bergfjell Tunnel is rock fall secured and it is set up approx. 400 meter lap fence. This is done in a separate avalanche protection contract.
